Ukrainian startup DrillApp, which develops a training application for the military, has attracted $100,000 in investment

Ukrainian company DrillApp, which creates the Drill educational application for responsible gun handling and first aid, has raised $100,000 in funding. The startup does not name the investors, but notes that they are business angels and veterans.

This was reported by Forbes Ukraine with reference to the company’s press release.

DrillApp plans to invest the received investments in creating a course on FPV drones, a module on international humanitarian law, a psychological stabilization program, and a B2B platform for professional defense training.

«Drill is a platform that allows every instructor or veteran anywhere in the world to scale their knowledge, create courses, and monetize their experience,» said Alexander Gusarov, an officer of the Azov special forces unit and co-founder of DrillApp.

The startup says that Drill already has over 200,000 users, including 50,000 active military personnel. The application is already being tested in NATO structures, by instructors from Canada, Poland, and Estonia, and is also receiving localization requests from Israel and the United States, the company says.

In 2023, DrillApp received a grant from the Brave1 cluster in the format of $25,000 + $5,000. At that time, it was noted that the application had 65,000 registered users. In Ukraine, the application is completely free and Ukrainians (35,000) make up the core of the Drillapp audience. Poles were in second place in terms of the number of users (about 10,000).

«In Poland, we learn to earn money. We have a subscription model. You get about 30 free exercises. If you want more, you pay for a month or a year. Support is also paid, since trainers work. In Poland, it costs around $5/month,» Oleksandr Gusarov told dev.ua.

Recall that the first lessons about FPV drones appeared on Drill in January of this year. They include knowledge about assembly, maintenance, repair of UAVs, and initial training based on a simulator.
