The group of IT product companies Vchasno Group has increased its stake in the home medical care service "Medics Opika" to 73.5%, becoming its majority owner. The partnership of the companies began back in 2025 with the first investments of the IT business in the development of the medical service.
The group of IT product companies Vchasno Group has increased its stake in the home medical care service "Medics Opika" to 73.5%, becoming its majority owner. The partnership of the companies began back in 2025 with the first investments of the IT business in the development of the medical service.
"Medics Care", founded in 2020 by Oleksandr Rusin, specializes in supporting seriously ill patients at home. The service operates under a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU). Regular medical care at home and education of relatives allow the company to reduce the load on hospitals and emergency medicine.
Currently, the service covers 19 regions of Ukraine. More than 350 doctors of various specialties serve 8,000 patients, making about 35,000 visits per month. According to the company, during 2025, Medix Opika scaled its activities eight times.
According to Mykola Palienko, co-founder and CEO of Vchasno Group, the decision to expand the stake is due to the potential for scaling and the large role of IT tools in the service's work.
"The digitalization of medicine is no longer a concept of the future, but an infrastructural necessity. In such services, IT ensures quality control, accounting for services, and transparency of interaction with the state," Palienko noted.
He added that this format of cooperation between business and the state is understandable for the group, which includes the Prozorro system platform - Zakupivli.Pro.
Despite the integration into Vchasno Group, Medix Opika will retain its own brand and autonomy in management. The cooperation will primarily be aimed at improving the operating model: procurement planning, team logistics, and quality control.
As explained by the CEO of Medix Opika, Volodymyr Buzhan, process optimization will allow the system to serve more patients without losing quality. In addition, it creates an opportunity to maintain a competitive income for doctors in conditions of a shortage of medical personnel.
By the end of 2026, the service plans to expand its presence in communities and district centers. A separate focus will be on increasing the scope of services for veterans after serious injuries who, after discharge from the hospital, require regular medical support at home.
As a reminder, Vchasno Group is a group of Ukrainian IT product companies that develops digital solutions for business and the state. Its portfolio includes the electronic document management service "Vchasno" and the electronic platform Zakupivli.Pro.
