In Ukraine, more than 4,300 companies have become residents of the special legal regime for the IT industry "Diya.City". The largest number of technology companies that have joined the ecosystem is registered in Kyiv, but IT business is also developing in other regions, including front-line ones.

Today, more than 169,000 IT specialists work in companies that are residents of "Diya.City". According to the Ministry of Digital Analytics, Kyiv confidently holds the status of the country's main technological hub, where 2,376 companies are registered, which is about half of all participants in the space.

In addition to the capital, the top five regions in terms of the number of resident companies include:

  • Lviv region — 561 companies;

  • Dnipropetrovsk region — 248 companies;

  • Kharkiv region — 197 companies;

  • Kyiv region — 188 companies.

The technology business continues to create products and launch startups in different parts of the country, in particular in Transcarpathia, as well as in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Currently, companies from "Diya.City" form almost 80% of the IT industry of Ukraine, developing various areas, including defense technologies, artificial intelligence, financial services, robotics and medicine. In the first four months of 2026, residents of the space paid UAH 17.3 billion in taxes.

"Diya.City" is a special legal and tax regime for the IT industry, which was launched in Ukraine in February 2022. Its goal is to create favorable conditions for the development of technology businesses, attract investment, and stimulate the growth of the digital economy.
