As noted in the OpenDataBot study, the IT sector demonstrated the fastest growth during this period of time: plus 48% of new registrations per year.
The largest number of new businesses in Ukraine is engaged in wholesale trade — 15% of registrations. In second place are public organizations (12%), in third — real estate (6.7%). The IT sector with its 4,64% is in fourth place.

«New business openings have stabilized — last year, almost the same number of new businesses were opened during the same period. However, it has still not been possible to reach the indicators on the eve of the full-scale one: in 2021, 1.6 times more legal entities were registered in six months,» the authors of the study conclude.
It is also worth adding that a total of 6,653 businesses have closed since the beginning of the year, while the net increase is 11,624 companies — and this is the lowest figure in the last 5 years.
At the same time, according to the first quarter, almost 82,000 individual entrepreneurs have opened in Ukraine since the beginning of 2025, which is 9% less than during the same period last year. IT-IPOs make up 8,7% of this number and take second place, second only to retail trade.
