The Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada recommended that the parliament adopt as a basis the revised version of bill No. 15432-d on the reboot of the PlayCity agency, which provides that the head of this body will be elected on a competitive basis.
This was reported by the head of the committee, Danylo Hetmantsev, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, if such a bill is adopted, an exception will be established for the PlayCity agency from the general rule of not holding civil service competitions during martial law.
Also, as Hetmantsev assures, a competitive procedure for appointing the head of PlayCity will be introduced using a model similar to the procedure for selecting the director of BEB — with the involvement of international experts.
In addition, the aforementioned bill provides for increased integrity requirements for the manager and employees of PlayCity, including conducting integrity checks and monitoring their lifestyle.
Among other innovations regarding the management of PlayCity, it is proposed to introduce an independent external assessment (audit) of the effectiveness of its activities — again, with the participation of international experts.
Currently, the head of the state agency PlayCity, Gennady Novikov, has submitted a resignation letter, but continues to perform his duties until a corresponding decision is made.
