Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called artificial intelligence «the great equalizer» at London Tech Week, allowing anyone to program using natural language.
According to Huang, AI programming is similar to human programming,» Business Insider reports.
«You say, ‘You’re an incredible poet. You’re deeply immersed in Shakespeare, and I’d like you to write a poem that describes today’s speech.’ Without much effort, this AI will help you create such a great poem,» said the Nvidia CEO.
Jensen Huang noted that if you ask an AI to do a task better, it can actually come back with a better answer. He added that in the past, «technology was difficult to use» and that to access computer science, «we had to learn programming languages, system architecture, and design very complex computers.
«But now, suddenly, a new programming language has emerged. This new programming language is called 'human.' Most people don’t know C++, very few people know Python, and everyone knows human language,» Huang says.
He called AI the «great equalizer» that makes technology accessible to everyone, and called the change «transformational».
«I think this way of interacting with computers is available to almost everyone. Today, the way you program a computer is like this: ask the computer to do something for you, even write a program, create an image, write a poem — just ask it politely,» said the Nvidia CEO.
Jensen Huang has previously stated that «computing technology that doesn’t require programming» needs to be created. He regularly highlights the importance of AI in his personal work—for example, he uses ChatGPT and Gemini to write drafts. Huang advises young people to master AI tools as soon as possible.
