Like Musk himself, Bobby Kotick is a rather controversial figure, but he was able to lead a bankrupt company, which he purchased for $500,000, into a publishing house that Microsoft acquired for $75.4 billion. PC Gamer writes about this.
«Elon would really be the best owner of any gaming company. There is no person more qualified to build and run a gaming company,» Kotick said on the podcast.
Musk’s experience in video games mostly boils down to his love of video games and his love of bragging about his gaming achievements, which he has done with the help of hired players. He previously admitted to giving other people access to his Path of Exile 2 account so they could level it up.
Musk also used the account leveling service in Diablo 4. «It’s impossible to beat players from Asia if you don’t do as they do!» the billionaire said.
Last year, Elon Musk said that corporations own many game studios and he would create his own with the help of his AI company xAI .
Last month, Glen Scofield, the developer of the famous horror Dead Space and former head of the Striking Distance studio, doubted that Musk would be able to release the first game generated entirely with the help of AI in the near future.
