Andriy Kozak was born on November 22, 1990 in Khmelnytskyi, writes DOU. After studying, he entered the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. He was interested in the history of Ukraine, folklore, politics, and civic activities.
He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity, joined the Khmelnytskyi branch of the Right Sector, volunteered, and initiated social projects.
Andriy joined SoftServe as a programmer in 2021. Colleagues remember him as a responsible and persistent specialist.
«Andriy was a mature and responsible person who consciously invested in his development and constantly strived for more. His poise and inner peace created an atmosphere of trust,» said the company’s Program Manager Oleksandr Bukrych.
After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Andriy voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training at the Right Sector training center of the Special Operations Forces, and served in the Special Operations Forces unit, which later became the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
He fought in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk directions, was a radio operator, worked with drones, and performed combat missions. According to his comrades, Andriy died during the battles for Bakhmut, covering the withdrawal of the unit.
The deceased is survived by his mother, sister, and nephews.
