The practical stage of deploying a large-scale network of charging stations for electric vehicles has begun in Kyiv.
This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration for the Exercise of Local Government Powers, Konstantin Usov, during the "Electrospectrum-2026" forum.
Currently, more than 6,500 potential sites for new charging stations are being calculated in the capital, which in total will be able to provide about 13,000 parking spaces.
According to Usov, the right to install electric charging stations at prepared locations will be distributed exclusively through transparent auctions on Prozorro.Sales to guarantee equal conditions for all market participants.
Currently, Kyivtransparkservice, together with DTEK and other enterprises, is analyzing the technical capabilities and capacities of power grids to select the best locations for future charging.
"We want the development of the network to take place not chaotically, but based on technical calculations and real demand. That is why today we are collecting all the necessary information to make quality management decisions and further attract investors. We would like this environment to develop harmoniously, so that the charging infrastructure in Kyiv develops quickly, systematically and meets the needs of the city," Usov emphasized.
After the verification is completed, the capital will form a ready-made database of addresses where investors can install their charging stations.
