The largest mobile operator «Kyivstar» is increasing fees for services by an average of 25%.
«Tariff revision will enable the company to continue investing in improving the network and ensuring stable communication for our subscribers. Thanks to these changes, we will be able to work even more actively on energy sustainability, maintaining the uninterrupted operation of the network, developing 4G and building new base stations throughout the country, so that our services become even more accessible and of higher quality,» the Kyivstar press service reported.
«Kyivstar» always strives to provide high-quality communication, stable Internet and additional services that meet the modern needs of our subscribers. That is why the company revised the terms of part of the tariff plans for contract subscribers, and will revise another part of the subscription tariffs by the end of the year. On average, the price will change by 25% to the cost of the tariff,» Interfax-Ukraine writes .
The company assures that subscribers will receive more benefits and services in the tariff: additional minutes for calls to other networks, additional gigabytes of mobile Internet, as well as the ability to connect additional unlimited services, the press service emphasized.
Within the framework of the tariff plans «LOVE UA Light Contract 2023», «VAS Region», «VAS Optimum», Smart Max, «VAS Premium», «VAS Premium+», the tariffs have already changed.
In addition, promotional superpowers appeared in the plans: unlimited Internet, unlimited calls and unlimited SMS, which can be connected until June 30, 2025 inclusive.
Tariff plans: «Your Choice», Smart, Kyivstar 4G, «Bezlim», «Kyivstar 4G Extra+ 2018», «LOVE UA Magnit Kontrakt 2023» have also been closed. The company offered users of these tariffs others that are closer to their consumer needs, the press service reported.
The choice of tariffs that are subject to change depends on many factors. In particular, they take into account the growth in consumption of services, as well as the fact that the price of some tariffs remained unchanged for a long time, the press service notes. Also, in order to optimize service processes and ensure operational efficiency, Kyivstar periodically unifies tariff plans, closing them for new connections.
The company emphasized that the subscriber can choose another tariff that best meets his needs and capabilities. You can do this in the «Tariffs» section on the company’s website, in the «My Kyivstar» application or in any Kyivstar branded store.
It is reported that some tariff plans have not changed for over a year, and for a number of others there have been no changes since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
The decision to change the cost of services was influenced by the growth of consumption volumes, the economic situation and the costs of providing the network with alternative sources of electricity, the press service says, emphasizing that the changes that are taking place are a forced step and a justified reaction of the company.
According to the State Statistics Service, the cost of telecommunication services has increased by an average of 4,3% since the beginning of the year, while prices for electricity have increased by 63,6%, utility services by 18,6%, and food prices by 10,8%. %, specified in the press service.
«Kyivstar» reminded that almost 2,500 generators and 145,000 lithium batteries were purchased to ensure uninterrupted operation of the network during outages. The company’s costs have increased as equipment needs maintenance and refueling. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Kyivstar has already used 3 million liters of fuel for generators. The company has set up separate units to handle the equipment and pays wages to workers who fill up the generators every day starting at 5am.
The company could not predict how the situation will develop in 2025, noting that «there are no exact dates or a list of tariffs that may change.»
