VEON, the parent company of Kyivstar, announced the completion of the deal to acquire 100% of the shares of the medical service Tabletki.ua.
The VEON press release reports that the equivalent of $160 million in Ukrainian currency will be transferred as part of the agreement.
«Tabletki.ua is one of the most popular digital platforms in Ukraine for searching, comparing, and reserving medicines and other products available in Ukrainian pharmacies. Tabletki.ua is used by millions of users every month, and it is the most popular digital platform in Ukraine for accessing prescription and other medicines and food products,» VEON says.
It is noted that in 2025, the service had an average of 14 million bookings per month.
This deal strengthens Kyivstar’s growing healthcare ecosystem, complementing the previous acquisition of digital healthcare platform Helsi in 2022. Tabletki.ua will become part of Kyivstar’s digital services portfolio, which already includes ride-hailing service Uklon, streaming service Kyivstar TV, and super app MyKyivstar.
«Tabletki.ua already plays an important role in the daily lives of millions of Ukrainians. By combining Kyivstar’s experience in creating and scaling digital platforms with Tabletki.ua’s strong market position, we will make medical services even more accessible and convenient throughout Ukraine,» said Kyivstar President Oleksandr Komarov.
According to unaudited management reporting, as of September 30, 2025, Tabletki.ua’s EBITDA (operating income before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) for the last 12 months amounted to $24 million, and net income was $20 million. The value of $160 million corresponds to a price-to-earnings ratio for the last 12 months of 8,0X.
We will remind that at the end of January , the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the third time granted permission to Kyivstar PrJSC to acquire control over MTPK LLC, a company that owns the online medicine booking service Tabletki.ua. Previously, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine saw risks of monopolization.
Recently, it became known that Kyivstar intends to raise prices for a number of archival tariffs for mobile subscribers. The company explained that this is due to a 60% increase in the cost of electricity for businesses and an increase in costs for maintaining the network during power outages.
