The Ukrainian platform Lapathoniia has exited closed beta testing and opened registration for all interested parties. From now on, developers, researchers, and companies can integrate domestic artificial intelligence into their own products using a standard API compatible with OpenAI.
The Ukrainian platform Lapathoniia has exited closed beta testing and opened registration for all interested parties. From now on, developers, researchers, and companies can integrate domestic artificial intelligence into their own products using a standard API compatible with OpenAI.
The project developers announced this in their announcement. Closed testing of the service lasted for three months, during which the first users received manual access and helped test the system on real tasks.
Currently, three solutions are available on the platform: the LapaLLM and MamayLM language models, as well as the Rukopys OCR text recognition tool. To get started, simply register in your personal account, create a personal access key, and connect the selected tools to your applications or internal systems via familiar OpenAI clients.
«From now on, everyone can register, create a personal key, and work with Ukrainian models via the OpenAI-compatible API,» the project creators note.
In the new personal account, users can manage access, view their quotas, and monitor resource usage. As the platform continues to be in beta testing, individual limits currently apply to personal accounts. For projects that require larger amounts of data processing, the developers provide the ability to obtain extended access upon request.
Previously, the Lapathoniia infrastructure platform was launched with the scientific support of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. The project is aimed at developers, government agencies, and businesses that are interested in storing data within the country and using AI models optimized for the Ukrainian language.
