Changes in the terms of providing certain lifecell tariff plans will occur gradually between February 5 and March 20, 2025, the lifecell press service told dev.ua.
What changes will occur during February-March?
Starting from February 5, 2025, the terms (price and/or content) of 4-week service packages in the following tariff plans will be revised: «Smart Life», «Prosto Life», «Free Life», «Powerful», «Zvinsky BEZMEZH», «Free Life. Region», «Platinum Life», «Zhara Light 2022». The possibility of connecting to these tariff plans for new subscribers will also be terminated. Until February 5, subscribers can switch to another tariff plan available for connection without additional fees after receiving an SMS about the relevant changes.
From February 17 to March 20, a number of tariff plans will be closed: «School Life», «Preferential», «Heat Light», «Lifehack», «Platinum», «Premium» and others. The full list of tariffs is here .
From February 19, 2025, the cost of services in the «Gadget» tariff plans with the «Smart», «Tablet», «Router», and «Security» service packages will be revised.
Subscribers whose tariff plan terms are subject to changes can switch to another tariff plan available for connection without additional fees from January 27 to February 12, 2025 inclusive. More details here .
«We understand that price increases create an additional burden on our subscribers, so we offer several options to reduce the cost of communication services. In particular, the „Tariff Subscription“ option. It allows most subscribers to fix the „old“ cost of current tariffs for several months when paying for 12 or 6 service packages in advance and receive a 15% or 10% lower price. That is, the cost of the tariff will not only not change, but will also be fixed at a discount. In addition, there is an opportunity to postpone payment for three payments, rather than paying the entire amount at once,» the mobile operator reports.
You can also make your connection identifiable, i.e., link the subscriber’s personal data to the SIM card. This will reduce the cost of the tariff and at the same time provide the SIM card with greater protection against fraudulent actions.
The price revision will not apply to new MNP subscribers who ported their number to lifecell and took advantage of the «sTOP-price» promotion, as they had the opportunity to fix the tariff cost until the end of 2025. This offer is in demand — more than 170,000 subscribers have ported their numbers to lifecell since December. Therefore, this promotion has been extended until February 4.
How much will tariffs increase?
The review of tariff plans, which will take place in February-March 2025, provides for an increase in the cost of tariffs by an average of 34%.
«The company takes a balanced approach to the formation of tariff policy — for a long time, despite all the challenges, lifecell has been providing services at prices competitive for the Ukrainian market. The last increase in tariff costs was almost a year and a half ago — back in September 2023 — and affected only about 15% of subscribers,» the company noted.
Reasons for the increase
lifecell actively invests in expanding network coverage and improving communication quality. In war conditions, it constantly restores equipment damaged by shelling, installs thousands of backup power sources across the country to operate the network during power outages, strengthens infrastructure protection from physical and cyber threats, and develops and launches new products and services.
«The company is now forced to review the terms of some offers for subscribers due to the significant deterioration of the economic situation, in particular due to the increase in costs for electricity, fuel, rent, taxes and other factors affecting the cost of services,» the mobile operator explained.
