LinkedIn adds new free AI job search tool, also new for recruiters
LinkedIn has created two AI tools: Jobs Match for candidates and an AI agent for recruiters and hiring managers. Both are free, meaning you don't need to be a paid LinkedIn user to use the basic version of these tools.
LinkedIn has created two AI tools: Jobs Match for candidates and an AI agent for recruiters and hiring managers. Both are free, meaning you don't need to be a paid LinkedIn user to use the basic version of these tools.
Jobs Match will provide immediate advice on whether a particular job opening is worth a candidate’s time to apply. In parallel, the company is launching an AI agent aimed at small businesses — a synthetic version of the hiring managers and teams that large companies typically use to develop job applications, find qualified candidates, and screen applications, TechCrunch reports .
These tools will help recruiters and hiring managers better select the right candidates, and job seekers better filter vacancies that are more suitable for them.
Notably, both products were built by LinkedIn using its own AI technology and the platform’s own third-party data. Previously, products based on OpenAI technology were launched.
According to LinkedIn, 5 million people have now turned on Open to Work, up 40% from a year ago. There are also 67 million users looking for work every week. On the small business side, about 2.5 million use LinkedIn for hiring.
But the number of people looking for jobs on LinkedIn is relatively small, considering the site has over a billion registered users. So LinkedIn is at risk of losing ground on its recruiting business. So, in addition to a number of products specifically for premium users, the company has started moving in a different direction, making these two tools available to everyone.
