The Yampil District Court of Vinnytsia Region considered the case of a programmer from Global Logic LLC in an attempt to illegally cross the state border.
According to the case materials, on January 22, 2026 at 07:40 a.m., a man tried to cross the state border of Ukraine outside the checkpoint — on foot, in the direction from the village of Dovzhok (Vinnytsia region) to the settlement of Frunzivka (Republic of Moldova).
He was detained 650 meters from the state border line, near border sign No. 0216. The resolution states that he was trying to overcome a line of engineering barriers.
The actions were classified under Part 1 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses — an attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine outside checkpoints.
The accused did not appear at the court hearing, but filed a request to consider the case without his participation. The court found him guilty based on the protocol on the administrative offense, written explanations, report, diagram of the scene of the incident, and a copy of his passport for traveling abroad.
The court did not establish any circumstances that mitigate or aggravate liability.
The court found the IT worker guilty and fined him UAH 3,400. He must also pay a court fee of UAH 665.60.
If the fine is not paid within 15 days, it may be collected forcibly through the enforcement service. In this case, the amount of the fine is doubled.
The decision can be appealed to the Vinnytsia Court of Appeal within 10 days.
