An iOS developer made a timer for the Mac because he couldn't find exactly what he wanted in the App Store. Now Timer For Word helps you keep a normal rhythm of work throughout the day.
Ivan Revchuk, an iOS and Python developer, has released Timer for Work, an application for macOS that reminds you of breaks and shows the current stage of work right in the menu bar.

«While working at a computer, I constantly noticed one problem: when you immerse yourself in a task or feature, it’s very easy to lose control of time and sit for 4–5 hours without moving, taking a break, or even having lunch. «I was looking for an application for macOS in the App Store that would work exactly the way I needed it: reminding me about breaks and lunch, showing in the menu bar what was going on at the moment — work, a break or another stage, helping me maintain a normal rhythm of work throughout the day. In the end, I realized that this was exactly the solution I was missing. So I decided to make my own application for Mac and released it in the App Store — Timer for Work,» says the IT guy.
The application solves one task, but does it clearly: it shows in the menu bar what is currently happening — work, a break, or another stage — and reminds you when it’s time to switch. No unnecessary interface, no settings for five screens.
Ivan says that he runs several projects in parallel and Timer for Work has become another practical product in his portfolio — one that solves a real daily task, not just demonstrates technical skills.
Currently looking for feedback and plans to further develop the app. You can try it in the App Store .
