Meta has released a separate Meta AI app for Mac. It aims to be an assistant that works beyond its own window. The AI will be able to see what's currently open on the screen, answer questions about that content, and convert the user's voice to text directly in other applications.

For example, instead of typing a message, letter, or piece of document, you can hold down Fn and simply dictate it. The AI assistant will insert the text where the cursor is. The user can also show it the current window on the screen and ask what is happening there, ask it to explain the text, or help you understand what you see.

The assistant can now also connect Facebook, Instagram, Meta advertising campaigns, as well as Google Workspace, which is Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Slides. After that, you can, for example, ask the AI to analyze the results of an advertising campaign, see which publications worked best with the audience, compare the business with similar brands or conduct a kind of advertising audit. Based on this data, Meta AI can also create a presentation, document or spreadsheet.
