Musk said this in an interview with The Economist, NV reports .
«We never sold Starlink to the Russians. They received terminals ordered through Ukraine and then smuggled them into eastern Ukraine. In some cases, they were used to carry out attacks,» Musk noted.
Thus, according to the techno-businessman, Russian troops partially received terminals by smuggling through the eastern regions of Ukraine and the currently occupied territories.
At the same time, according to Musk, the decision to introduce the so-called «white list» of Starlink terminals had negative consequences for some civilian users.
According to him, «some people who used Starlink for work or school lost access to communication because their devices were not listed.»
As dev.ua wrote, the Ministry of Digital Affairs recently slightly changed the Starlink verification rules for citizens, individual entrepreneurs, and legal entities.
Meanwhile, according to media reports, the Russian army is trying to jam the Defense Forces' Starlink terminals using new electronic warfare systems.
