Microsoft uses the “Copilot” branding on many of its AI offerings, but when it’s simply Microsoft Copilot, the company is talking about its chatbot.
With the release of GPT-5, the chatbot now offers a new smart mode that, according to the company, “will help everyone find the best possible solutions to their queries.”
GPT-5 is available in Copilot for all users, including those without a subscription, writes ZDNET.
Microsoft said that Copilot with GPT-5 “handles complex questions better, stays focused in long conversations, and understands user context.”
Microsoft 365 Copilot users will be able to use the GPT-5 engine to “understand emails, documents, and files.” For enterprise customers, the new model will help solve more complex problems.
Microsoft’s Copilot Studio is Microsoft’s answer to ChatGPT Agent, but with the ability to create your own agents. Microsoft now says users can “select GPT-5 in their own prompts so agents can take on more complex business processes.”
