The new agreement, as noted on the ICEYE website, provides for a significant expansion of cooperation in the field of space exploration.
The agreement also ensures that the Ministry of Defense will continue to receive a large volume of high-resolution satellite imagery through the ICEYE SAR constellation.

ICEYE technology is capable of receiving high-resolution images up to 16 cm from its 4th generation satellites and using wide-coverage modes such as Scan Wide, which covers areas of 200 by 300 km.
In addition, ICEYE electronic beam steering technology allows for dozens of high-resolution scenes to be obtained in just a few minutes of satellite imaging time.

As dev.ua previously reported, German defense company Rheinmetall and Finnish microsatellite manufacturer ICEYE signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint venture, Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions, which will, among other things, produce satellites. Both companies are known for their cooperation with Ukraine.
Meanwhile, last year, the «people’s satellite» ICEYE, for which Ukrainians raised money, has already exceeded its warranty period .
