German carmaker Mercedes-Benz is expanding its partnership with Microsoft. Mercedes-Benz has announced a feature that will allow users to use the built-in camera for Microsoft Teams while driving and plans to add integration with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
«Starting with the all-new CLA, customers will have access to the latest version of the Meetings for Teams app», — Mercedes-Benz said.
The company recalled that it became the first automaker to integrate Microsoft Intune (a cross-platform tool for managing devices and applications) directly into its car’s new operating system.
Drivers can use the camera in their car while driving, allowing other participants to see them during the meeting. To minimize distractions for the driver, the video of the meeting is automatically turned off as soon as the camera is activated. As a result, the driver never sees shared screens or slides, and the camera can be turned off at any time.
Microsoft and Mercedes-Benz are also working together to integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot into «new cars.» The feature will be voice-driven, allowing drivers to summarize emails, manage daily tasks, and more.
«Together with Boosteroid, we are offering an even more engaging gaming experience for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The cloud-based approach to gaming is the perfect way to offer our customers and fans top-notch gaming,» said Magnus Ostberg, Director of Software at Mercedes-Benz AG.
