A Ukrainian developer has released a private diary of memories called Mneme: Memory Journal on the App Store. How the app works

Ukrainian iOS developer Serhiy Basin has released his third app, Mneme: Memory Journal, on the App Store. The product is positioned as a private diary for important moments in life, focusing on meaningful memories, rather than an endless stream of photos or videos.

Mneme is a private place for your moments that brings back memories at the right moment, not on command or in chronological order. The app allows you to:

  • capture videos or voice notes as memories;

  • save either the full video or just the audio portion of the moment;

  • receive reminders exactly when a memory may be important, thanks to context analysis on the device;

  • Keep everything completely private, without publications, without a network, and without an audience — everything stays only on your device.

The description on the App Store emphasizes that Mneme doesn’t interrupt you with pushes — it returns memories when it «resonates» with the user.

The app is free to download, but has an optional subscription that lets you save unlimited memories and export them to your photo library. The basic functionality is available without a subscription.

Mneme is designed for the iPhone and runs entirely on the device with data processing done locally.

The author’s message talks about a simple and intuitive interface focused on daily use, and invites users to share their impressions and feedback.
