According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs, this will accelerate the expansion of 4G coverage along national and international roads, as well as in rural areas.
«One of the key tasks of the Ministry of Digital Affairs by 2030 is to provide 98% of citizens with high-quality mobile communications. To achieve this, it is necessary to speed up the process of obtaining land plots for operators to use for the construction of mobile communication networks. This process is currently being slowed down due to complex bureaucratic procedures, but everything will change thanks to this bill,» the department said.

The Ministry of Digital Affairs also adds that these changes will help: provide residents of remote rural areas with access to mobile Internet and, as a result, to government online services; expand 4G coverage along important highways, thanks to simplified procedures, communication will appear faster, which is important for security and tourism development; restore communication in deoccupied territories faster — operators will receive land for building new networks faster, and will also be able to place temporary communication facilities without the risk of their dismantling.
«To prevent corruption risks, the project provides that only operators included in the register of providers of electronic communications networks and/or services will be able to use the simplifications. The formation and control of this register is carried out by the National Commission for Electronic Communications, the regulator in the fields of electronic communications, radio frequency spectrum and postal services,» the ministry noted.
