Mstislav Banik has completed his work as Chief Product Officer at the Ministry of Defense and has become Deputy Minister of Defense Mikhail Fedorov. What will he do in his new position?
Until 2019, Mstislav Banik worked in marketing, online communications, and digital products for business. In 2019, he started working at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, where he was responsible for the launch and development of «Diya».
In 2024, Banik joined the military as part of the CODE 9.2 unit, where he created the FPV drone unit and worked at the headquarters level, and also participated in the Ukrainian Armed Forces military operation in Kursk. In 2025, he became the head of digital products at the Ministry of Defense, and led the development of «Army+» and «Reserve+».
As Deputy Minister of Defense, Mstislav Banik will be responsible for procurement reform. «The task is to make procurement for the Ukrainian military the most transparent and effective in the world,» said Mykhailo Fedorov.
