Stonkfly is powered by MaleCNS v1.0, a digital map of the brain and central nervous system of a male fruit fly. The system shows a "mouse" candlestick chart - such a chart reflects how the price of an asset changed over certain periods of time.
The neural network activity is then used to suggest one of three actions: buy, sell, or do nothing. If the portfolio value increases, the system stimulates 15 PAM11 neurons, which are associated with dopamine reward. A loss activates two PPL101 neurons, which the developer used as a negative signal.
By default, Stonkfly operates in paper trading mode — with real market prices, but virtual transactions. The starting balance is $100. But Wormut has provided the ability to connect the system to a real Coinbase Advanced account. However, the "musts" have set financial safeguards: a maximum of $10 per transaction and up to 24 trading attempts per day. Stonkfly also does not allow borrowing money or betting on the fall of cryptocurrency.
