The Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Anatolii Bargylevych, stated that Ukraine is actively developing its own models of guided aerial bombs (so-called KABs).
«The leadership of the Armed Forces is developing such operations, and they will be carried out accordingly. We are actively working on it. I think we will achieve such success, and it will also be presented», — he said on the air, answering a journalist’s question whether Ukraine has its own options for guided aerial bombs.
In turn, Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov summed up the latest agreements with international partners regarding investments in the Ukrainian defense industry.
«More and more countries have already announced direct investment in Ukrainian production. We have specific agreements with Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Lithuania. Each of these countries has already announced funding for our production, in particular, for our Ukrainian long-range drones and missiles», — the press service of the Ministry of Defense quotes him as saying.
According to the minister, Norway has allocated $45 million to finance Ukrainian production, and Denmark is increasing military support for Ukraine to 2.2 billion euros in 2025, part of which will go to joint defense projects.
«Sweden joins the „Danish model“ to finance the production of Ukrainian long-range drones. Lithuania signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which provides for the first tranche of 10 million euros for the production of Ukrainian weapons, in particular within the framework of the „Palyanitsa“ project. These funds will be transferred in the near future,» — Umyerov explained.
Also, according to his words, a new format of cooperation was launched in Copenhagen the day before — the «Nordic Group — Ukraine», which unites 12 countries: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Great Britain.
We will remind that earlier the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov also stated that in Ukraine they scaled up the serial production of cruise missiles R-360 «Neptune» with improvements for hitting targets at longer distances.
