According to Ishchenko, now every tenth vacancy on Djinni mentions AI and various tools related to the technology.
“Anthropic/Claude is taking market share, at least for development,” the founder of DOU and Djinni wrote on LinkedIn, sharing a graph that covers data from January 2023 to April 2026.
OpenAI remained the undisputed leader for most of the period. Although the chart shows ChatGPT, it is safe to assume that this data also includes Codex. The company’s tools had a huge lead over the competition and reached their peak in the summer of 2025 (around 370–380 mentions).
Since late 2025, Claude mentions have been showing explosive growth. In the spring of 2026, Claude's mentions exceeded 310, while ChatGPT is showing a slight decline (around 290 mentions).
Copilot and Gemini were at near zero for a long time. Growth for both tools only began in early 2025.
As of April 2026, Copilot has firmly established itself in third place (about 150 mentions). This indicates a growing demand for developers and specialists who use AI assistants to write code.
Google's Gemini is also growing, but lags noticeably behind the top three, stopping at around 80 mentions in April 2026.
