"In January-April 2025, representatives of the gambling business received UAH 6.3 billion in tax payments. This is UAH 0.8 billion more (+14.5%) than in the same period in 2024," said Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
This amount is also 167 times more than in January 2021 (then it was UAH 37.7 million).
However, the MP noted that in April, budget revenues from the gambling business decreased significantly. Last month, the industry paid UAH 0.7 billion — UAH 0.4 billion less than in April 2024 (−31.7%).
"I suggest that fiscal and law enforcement authorities pay attention to the industry," Hetmantsev wrote.
Let us recall that in the first quarter of 2025, the gambling business paid a record amount of taxes. UAH 5.4 billion was received by the budget, which is 20.4% more than in the same period in 2024.
