“As far as we can assess this process, the government is listening to us.” Deftech manufacturers seek to change export conditions. What issue remains unresolved

According to TAF Industries CEO Volodymyr Zinovsky, the Ukrainian deftech industry has expressed a common vision of changes regarding the need to improve the arms export model, and is negotiating with the government to resolve a number of aspects.

As Zinovsky says, the situation was also affected by the "transfer" period regarding the change in the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.

"After the text of the document was published, which outlined the fast track for exports under the drone deal, the entire industry immediately consolidated in order to formulate its proposals on how to improve this process. However, in terms of timing, it just fell on this "transfer" period of change of leadership in the Ministry of Defense, and our proposals were not taken into account," he noted in an interview with dev.ua.

Currently, the CEO of TAF Industries has stated that representatives of defense enterprises have returned to this dialogue with the Ministry of Defense.

“Our goal is to make the changes that the industry considers necessary to make it fully functional. As far as we can assess this process, the government is listening to us. There is literally one point on which we still have differences of opinion, but I hope that an understanding will be reached on that as well,” he added.

According to Volodymyr Zinovsky, disagreements arose, primarily, regarding the amount of duty that must be paid by producers upon export.

As dev.ua reported, TAF Industries intends to expand its line of unmanned solutions to all domains, so it is announcing a partnership with a manufacturer of water drones.
