«Brothers from all units, I appeal to you to expedite the provision of data on personal and volunteer „starlinks“ that you use through „Delta“. I give you my word that this data is needed only for the register of terminals that will operate in the country. No one will later take your „starlinks“ from you or put them on the balance sheet,» he addressed the military via his social networks.
Beskrestnov added that the process of collecting information about Starlink terminals is ongoing in parallel through official communication channels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and asked the commanders to provide this data as soon as possible.
«Flash» did not name any terms or deadlines, but assured that it was ready to «include white lists at any time.»
Earlier, Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov and the Ministry of Defense also appealed to commanders to organize verification of Starlink terminals to ensure continuity and stability of communication.
«It is now critically important to verify all terminals used for defense purposes. To do this, the military needs to transfer all Starlink terminal numbers via the DELTA system to the «white list,» Fedorov noted in this regard.
At the same time, he reminded that there is no need to put your own terminals on the military unit’s balance, nor to transfer account data.
«Over time, we will build the process to receive data for registering terminals in real time,» Fedorov assured.
As dev.ua wrote, the Ministry of Digital Affairs previously explained how to verify Starlink in the Central Information Center or through «Diya», what needs to be prepared for this, and what limits apply.
Prior to this, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that makes it mandatory to verify all Starlink satellite terminals operating in Ukraine. Unverified devices will eventually be disconnected from the network.
It is known that Elon Musk’s SpaceX company has begun to apply countermeasures against the use of Starlink on Russian «shaheeds» at the request of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
