In 2020, NVIDIA announced a feature that allowed its graphics cards to remove almost all background noise from our audio calls using the free NVIDIA Broadcast app. On January 31, the company announced new features of the app — Studio Voice and Virtual Key Light, which are in beta.
NVIDIA’s blog noted that Studio Voice «enhances the sound of a user’s microphone to the level of a high-quality microphone».

The Virtual Key Light feature, which «illuminates objects, providing uniform lighting, as if the physical light of the keys defines the shape and size of a person,» impressed journalists less.
NVIDIA warned that the new effects require a GeForce RTX 4080 or 5080 GPU or higher and are intended for streaming chat and podcasts — they are not recommended for gaming.
The app update also improves voice quality with Background Noise Removal, adds gaze stability and subtle eye movements for a more natural look with Eye Contact, and improves foreground and background separation with Virtual Background.
Recall that in early January, NVIDIA introduced a major update to its Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology. DLSS 4 will include new neural rendering capabilities, thanks to which PCs with RTX 50 series graphics cards will be able to perform Multi Frame Generation, generating «up to three additional frames per traditional frame.»
Later, Polish studio CD Projekt Red announced the release of patch 2.21 for Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It contains a number of fixes for the game, but the main feature is the addition of a new generation of image scaling technology using NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 AI.
