All winners selected based on the test results received $250,000 each, as well as access to a simplified procurement procedure for the US Army through G-TEAD — a mechanism that allows units to obtain the necessary technologies faster without lengthy tender procedures, Defender Media reports .
In addition to UNEX, the list of winners included Milrem Robotics, ASAX Innovation OÜ, AZAK, and GaardTech USA. The Ukrainian-Polish platform was represented at the competition by the American project partner, Mountain Horse Solutions.
The competition participants had to demonstrate the platform's operation on difficult terrain, remote control capabilities, resistance to electronic warfare and loss of communication, as well as interaction with military units.
It is an unmanned ground platform with an electric powertrain and amphibious architecture. It is designed to operate in difficult off-road conditions, including swamps, snow, water, and collapsed buildings, and is capable of overcoming obstacles up to 1 meter high.
The platform can carry up to 1700 kg of cargo and is used to deliver ammunition, engineering equipment, fuel, water and other cargo. The range is up to 80 km, autonomy - up to 6 hours, maximum speed - up to 20 km/h. Control is carried out via multi-channel digital communication with support for various systems, including Silvus, Starlink and LTE.
