The Taiwanese chipmaker has been valued at $3.45 trillion for the first time since January of this year.
According to CNBC, the chipmaker's shares rose about 3% on Tuesday to $141.40 per share, having risen nearly 24% in the past month despite problems with export controls and tariff restrictions.
Nvidia previously reported a $4.5 billion loss in the first quarter due to licensing requirements affecting its ability to sell its H20 AI chip to companies in China. The restrictions meant the company was unable to generate an additional $2.5 billion in revenue from sales of the H20 chips.
Nvidia's growth has been fueled by its artificial intelligence chips, which are used by companies like OpenAI to develop software like ChatGPT.
The growth of Nvidia shares was also helped by investments from Oracle, which invested $40 billion in Nvidia chips to build one of the world's largest data centers.
Other chip companies are also showing positive momentum. In particular, Broadcom shares rose by 3%, Micron Technology by 4%, and the VanEck Semiconductor ETF index, which tracks the chip market, rose by 2%.
The last time Nvidia was the most valuable company was on January 24, 2025.
