We tell you how the experience of IT companies has changed after the introduction of the new rules.
DOU spoke with representatives of large Ukrainian IT companies to find out how these changes affected the booking process and what the general situation is in the industry.
Key change: now the total number of conscripts includes men who are already serving in the military, but were mobilized after May 18, 2024. For example: you have 80 employees on the register and another 20 mobilized after May 18. Previously, only 80 were taken into account. Now - 100. And if you can reserve, for example, 50%, then before it was 40 people, and now - 50.
The companies that provided comments mostly did not experience significant changes in the booking process. This is partly due to the fact that a significant number of IT professionals work as sole proprietors or on gig contracts (61.82% and 14.41% respectively as of winter 2024), and these categories are not subject to booking.

Overall, while the updated rules provide some benefits, IT companies continue to adapt to changing conditions, facing both technical and communication challenges in the booking process.
It is important to note that if the mobilized were not added to the total number automatically, the employer must contact the CCC and the SP to update the information.
