Volodymyr Popereshnyuk shared the results of the launch of Nova Poshta branches in other countries.
Nova Poshta co-founder Volodymyr Popereshnyuk told Forbes that the company aims to have half of its revenue generated outside Ukraine. Currently, this figure is 10%.
According to Popereshnyuk, the company needs 5 to 10 years to finally acclimatize to the local market and understand the needs of the user. As an example, the co-founder of Nova Poshta cited Moldova, where the company has been operating since 2014 and is now the leader of the local market.
As of 2023, the company planned to open 200 branches in 30 European countries by 2025, but now Nova Poshta has a presence in 16 countries. Nova Poshta recently opened a new sorting hub in Kaunas, Lithuania, which processes over 1,000 shipments daily.
Popereshnyuk reported that starting next year, the company will begin actively working on expanding into the US market.
We previously reported that the company had made dramatic cuts as a result of a personnel optimization initiative led by NOVA IDEA, which operates along the lines of Elon Musk’s DOGE efficiency department. Over 2,000 positions were optimized, and 800 employees left the company by mutual consent.
According to Popereshnyuk, there is no unit that would not be affected by the optimization process. The company emphasizes that employees who fell under the optimization can continue to work in a new role in the company, in particular in the sales halls.
UPD. “Since June 30, I have not worked at the National Post Office. And 25 of my colleagues have too.” Nova Poshta is radically optimizing its staff — the company’s co-founder explained who will be laid off and why
