“I created a manager who doesn’t believe in promises, demands specifics every day, doesn’t forget anything, and doesn’t give a shit.” Fractal founder shares how to create a personal AI coach

Fractal founder Artem Borodatyuk created a personal AI coach on Telegram that monitors his goals every day, asks for specific progress reports, and reminds him of tasks. The entrepreneur also shared a prompt with which you can build such a bot for yourself.
"I created a manager for myself who doesn't believe in promises, demands specifics every day, doesn't forget anything, and doesn't give a shit," he describes his bot.
First, the entrepreneur created a separate document with personal and work goals. Then Borodatyuk connected a bot to it. He monitors progress and regularly writes to Telegram with questions about what has been achieved, what problems there are and what is needed to move forward. In the examples of the entrepreneur, the “coach” asks to name a specific action, date or deadline. And if the question is ignored at 4:00 PM, at 10:00 PM, he comes again, but with a less diplomatic reminder.
For example, when Borodatyuk wrote that he would sign up for a new sports performance measurement in a month, the bot did not count this as progress. It reminded him that the test itself would not change anything, and asked him to specify: when the next cardio session would be, how many times a week he would train, and what exactly he would do.
The coach does the same with work goals. In one example, he himself calculated how much money was missing from the desired indicator and asked the entrepreneur to explain where this amount would come from and when the next checkpoint would be.
Every Saturday, the "coach" summarizes the week: shows how many personal and work goals have been completed, what is still moving forward, and what is stuck without progress. At the same time, he also calculates the overall percentage of completion.
Borodatyuk sometimes manages individual tasks through the bot. You can write something like: “add task X, responsible person — Y, remind me once a month.” On the desired day, the bot will return with a reminder and save the answer in a table. The entrepreneur also adds that you can respond to the “coach” with voice messages.
Borodatyuk claims that he specifically made the bot quite strict. According to him, for most people, such a version may be too demanding. In that case, he suggests making a light version of the “coach.” The entrepreneur has been using the bot for about three weeks and claims that he is already seeing results.
The bot runs on Cloudflare Workers, uses Google Sheets as a base and the Claude API to analyze responses. The schedule of messages is set by cron triggers, so everything works in the cloud and does not depend on the laptop being turned on.
Borodatyuk also shared a Google Sheets template and video instructions. To create his version, he suggests starting a Telegram bot via BotFather, getting an Anthropic key, and then passing it to Claude Code or ChatGPT Codex, which will help you compile and "deploy" the bot.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about the Ukrainian app Gainers with a voice AI coach. It regularly calls the user, remembers previous conversations, and asks whether they managed to complete specific steps towards their goal.
“If a lot of people are trying to get to him, he will ask them to wait in line.” FRACTAL told how Borodatyuk’s AI avatar evolved and invited him to a meeting
