Ukrainian indie studio Fire Sparrow has announced the start of registration for the first public playtest of its upcoming roguelite action game Sealbreakers on Steam. A limited number of players will soon have access to the game’s debut working build to test out key mechanics.
Ukrainian indie studio Fire Sparrow has announced the start of registration for the first public playtest of its upcoming roguelite action game Sealbreakers on Steam. A limited number of players will soon have access to the game’s debut working build to test out key mechanics.
The developers announced the launch of the request collection on the official Steam page of the project. The team plans to involve the community in improving the combat system and fixing bugs at an early stage of development.
«We recently held our first closed beta with about 50 players. It was the first time the game had been in the hands of people who weren’t part of our team, and to be honest, we were really nervous about it. Everything went even better than we had hoped — the combat system worked, players felt the rhythm we were aiming for during development, and some even demonstrated combos and transitions that we couldn’t do ourselves,» Fire Sparrow shared .
As part of the first public playtest, the developers will show off a large portion of the game’s opening region — a cursed settlement overrun by demon-possessed warriors. Players will be able to punch their way to the first big boss, trying out three unique combat disciplines.
You will be able to choose from «Electro», which allows you to hit enemies with lightning fists, «Fire» for attacking with fiery blows, as well as the mystical discipline «Shadow», whose fists are able to open portals to another dimension right during battle.
