State gambling regulatory agency Playcity suspends or closes latest casino advertising violations proceedings due to lack of evidence

The State Agency Playcity has suspended administrative proceedings in the case of violation of the requirements of the advertising legislation. It was recorded by the Department of Digital Solutions and Implementation of Control and Supervisory Functions back on July 8. But on August 14, the same department made another report to the head. After that, a decision was made to suspend the proceedings with the wording «until evidence is received confirming the identity of the customer and/or manufacturer and/or distributor of advertising.»

The State Agency Playcity has suspended administrative proceedings in the case of violation of the requirements of the advertising legislation. We wrote a question to the head of Playcity, Gennady Novikov, on Facebook Messenger and Telegram about which specific violation was mentioned. But we have not received a response yet.

We will remind you that the act on violation of the norms of the advertising law, which preceded the decision on the fine for the publication dev.ua of UAH 4.8 million, also did not identify the person who ordered the advertisement. But this did not prevent the decision on sanctions from being made.

As for the fine imposed on the Telegram channel «Trukha», in this case, the proceedings against the casino organizers involved in this case were closed «due to the lack of sufficient evidence confirming the commission of a violation by these business entities.»
