The State Agency for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries PlayCity has imposed a financial sanction on LLC "SPORT SEGODNYA", which owns the sports website Tribuna . The corresponding decision of the head of PlayCity Gennady Novikov dated October 15 has reached the editorial office of dev.ua.
According to the decision, a financial sanction (fine) in the amount of 4.8 million hryvnias was imposed on LLC "SPORT SEGODNYA". The fine was imposed in accordance with Part One of Article 59 of the Law of Ukraine "On State Regulation of Activities Concerning the Organization and Conduct of Gambling".
LLC "SPORT SEGODNYA" is obliged to pay this fine to the State Budget of Ukraine to the specified account no later than three months from the date of entry into force of the decision. The company must also notify the PlayCity Agency of the voluntary implementation of this decision within the same three-month period.

Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the state agency PlayCity fined blogger Dariana Koretska UAH 4.8 million for illegally advertising an online casino. The BEB's check proved that the "winnings" were fictitious.
This is not the first time that the regulator has fined bloggers for illegal casino advertising. Previously, Playcity reported on the imposition of a fine of UAH 4.8 million on Instagram blogger Rusalochka XL for illegal gambling advertising. The first Instagram blogger who was fined UAH 4.8 million by PlayCity for casino advertising was Yelizar Bashynskyi, but another millionaire blogger, Simbochka, was blocked on Instagram altogether for illegal casino advertising, along with other bloggers with a smaller audience. Later, Simbochka was also issued a fine of almost UAH 5 million.
PlayCity also blocked 22 Instagram accounts for advertising online casinos. The owner of the channel "Trukha Ukraine" was also ordered to pay UAH 4.8 million after checking the content for compliance with the law. Dev.ua is currently appealing the fine.
Interestingly, the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting in an official response told dev.ua that no codes (rules) that define the requirements, criteria, and mechanisms for distributing gambling advertising in online media yet exist.
