Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov reported that the Government adopted a resolution on the list of state orders for scientific developments, which was formed last year by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, and other ministries.

«We are changing the approach to science: previously, scientists themselves chose what to work on. Last year, various ministries, including the Ministry of Digital Affairs, created a technical task force for scientific developments. Today, the Government approved a list of developments that scientists are already putting into work», — said Fedorov.
Last year, a list of 25 government orders for Ukrainian scientists was reported, then it was about UAV navigation systems, object recognition using AI, hydrogen fuel technologies, etc. The tasks were formed by the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Digital Affairs, Ministry of Defense, State Special Communications Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Strategic Industry, Ministry of Agrarian Policy, and Ministry of Environment.
Now the list has been reduced to 22 orders, the main areas:
«Scientists will have 2 years to develop solutions in the following areas and a separate budget for their implementation — over 186 million UAH. The developments must be ready for practical use in order to strengthen defense and develop the economy», — noted Mykhailo Fedorov.
Let us recall that last year, among the state orders were such projects as the development of technology for manufacturing composite materials for rocket engines and the creation of a target recognition and classification system based on artificial intelligence.
