More than 11,000 companies relocated from one region to another in 2024. Company relocations due to the war decreased by 18% over the year. This is also 25% less than before the full-scale relocation. Most of them are engaged in wholesale trade and construction, and only 2.2% of them were IT companies.

Last year, 11,699 companies moved, of which 11,083 companies changed their legal registration address, according to Opendatabot. It should be noted that companies can change legal addresses several times a year.
32% of these companies are engaged in wholesale trade, another 6% are in construction. The top three migrant companies are businesses that conduct real estate transactions — 4.8%.
IT companies are in 9th place in terms of the number of relocated businesses. For comparison, in 2023, IT was not among the top businesses that moved according to Opendatabot. Then, specialized construction works were in 9th place - 149 companies. Therefore, it can be assumed that the number of relocated IT businesses was much smaller in 2023 than last year.
In total, 243 IT companies relocated within Ukraine in 2024. This is 2.2% of the total.
The largest number of businesses left Kyiv — 36.6% or 4,000 companies. Another 10% left Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
At the same time, the same regions are the most popular places for businesses to relocate. 28% of companies registered in Kyiv. Another 11% relocated to Kyiv Oblast, and 10% to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
