Previously, he worked on the reseller of computer games Suntechsoft, the platform of skins Skins.Cash and the exchange for trading virtual items from computer games DMarket. In 2023, it was acquired by the American game development studio Mythical Games.
Portal AI was launched in 2024 as a tool to help retailers optimize their operations by centralizing data using AI. Last year, Volodymyr Panchenko reported that the startup had raised $5 million in investment. According to him, the solution was tested by 500 companies, and «the results exceeded the effectiveness of traditional advertising agencies».
Now the product is aimed at a mass audience and is positioned as a social network where artificial intelligence generates videos on demand.
«We are building a fundamental platform for global co-creation. Our goal is clear and unified: to enable every person to effortlessly transform their personal experiences, dreams, and insights into rich, captivating worlds — universes created by millions, not simply consumed by millions», — Panchenko said in the project description.
In Portal AI, the user dictates or types in an idea or story, and the solution automatically selects the optimal script, visual style, music, presentation and publishes it. The startup’s founder notes that AI adapts content to a specific audience and calls the project «a video analogue of Google Translate for communication and collaborative creativity.»
According to Panchenko, Portal AI could become a new generation social network that will unite users around common ideas. «It will be more than Facebook or Instagram», — the serial entrepreneur believes.
Portal AI uses 23 AI models, including solutions from Google, as well as Runway and Sora. The platform’s algorithm automatically determines the optimal model that best handles the user’s request.
The AI video social network currently has an audience of several thousand test users. According to Panchenko, Portal AI does not yet have monetization, as this would slow down growth.
