Ukrposhta has announced its intention to open its own network of post offices. Where will the first mailboxes appear?
As reported by the company, the project is being implemented jointly with the Ukrainian manufacturer Modern Expo, which won the tender. The first 70 post offices will appear in Kyiv and 30 in Odessa this year.
«What is important is that the mailboxes are designed to meet high security standards and are adapted to work in autonomous mode (without light and communication)», Ukrposhta promises. The boxes are also protected from water, dust, and mechanical damage.
You can receive the parcel using a PIN code or through the updated Ukrposhta 2.0 application. It became available in September after a series of postponed releases.
«After a long (over a year) struggle for the opportunity to finally transparently purchase high-quality, adapted to wartime conditions and various customer preferences, post machines, today Ukrposhta can announce the signing of an agreement for the supply of its own post machines — importantly, Ukrainian-made — with the market leader, the Modern Expo company», said Ihor Smilyansky, General Director of Ukrposhta, on his Facebook page.
He added that through Ukrposhta post machines it will be possible to both receive a parcel and send a letter.
Earlier, the head of Ukrposhta announced the Express Window project, which should reduce queues at branches. According to him, the project separates young people and pensioners into separate windows.
