"I work at Mac's, that's what inspired me to create it." A MacDonald's employee created an app that calculates earnings during a shift in real time with hourly pay.
While most time trackers only show hours, a new app from a Ukrainian developer focuses on what is more important to many — money here and now.
While most time trackers only show hours, a new app from a Ukrainian developer focuses on what is more important to many — money here and now.
It’s about LiveShift, an app that allows you to track in real time how much you’ve earned during your current shift. The idea came from personal experience: the author works on a flexible schedule and wanted to see not just the hours worked, but a specific financial result.
«I created the LiveShift application to calculate earnings during live shifts. I work at Matsa, which is what inspired me to create it,» says the developer.
A key feature of LiveShift is the ability to display progress directly on the lock screen. Users can check how much time they have worked and how much they have earned in just a second, without having to open the app.
«You can see right from the lock screen how much change you’ve made and how much you’ve earned,» the author adds.
The developer focused on macOS and iOS users, including those who work hourly or shift work — from freelancers to service industry workers.
LiveShift is now available in the App Store, and for first-time users, the author even offers 30 days of premium access.
