The Velykobereznyanskyi District Court of the Transcarpathian region considered the case materials received from the border service on bringing to administrative responsibility a senior programmer of the company «NU CELL», who is accused of attempting to illegally cross the border. We tell you the details.
According to the administrative offense protocol, the programmer was detained on April 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. on the outskirts of the settlement of Zhornava, about 7,000 meters from the state border of Ukraine with Slovakia.
According to border guards, the man intended to cross the border illegally, leaving Ukraine during martial law.
The programmer did not appear in court. The court considered the case without him. The man left a written explanation for the court in which he did not admit his guilt.
He reported that he arrived in the Transcarpathian region for tourism purposes, and that he had the documents found by the border guards with him, as he was afraid to leave them in Kyiv due to armed aggression. In addition, the case materials do not contain evidence that the programmer moved towards the state border, bypassing settlements, which would give grounds to claim that he intended to avoid meeting with border guards and thus cross the border illegally.
The court decided that there was insufficient evidence of the AIT member’s guilt and closed the case due to the absence of elements of an administrative offense in his actions.
A judge’s ruling in a case of an administrative offense may be appealed within ten days from the date of its issuance to the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal by filing an appeal through the Velykobereznyanskyi District Court of the Transcarpathian Region.
