#fuckingvacancies. "Is everything really that bad on the market" and "Do you want to work on weekends? And it's free!". January's selection of vacancies that annoy candidates
Hello! It’s #fuckingvacancies again. Today is the first batch of crony job offers in Ukrainian IT and digital. And again — about low salaries, irrelevant requirements, a $1000 fine and anonymous letters.

«Is the market really that bad?»
Head of SEO Denys Levchuk published a vacancy with the remark: «I think we have to agree… Is everything really that bad on the market?».
The vacancy is for a junior or senior who, according to the employer’s plan, would have to fill 5-7 gambling sites at the same time for a reward of only $550-$750.
$1000 fine
Front-end developer Oleg M. published a screenshot of a contract in which the specialist is threatened with a fine of $1,000, but does not specify for what.
«I was recently offered a job contract, and it seems I’ve come face to face with a new reality. It turns out that the document includes a clause about a fine of $1,000 USD! This is despite the fact that the monthly rate is $500. Is this the norm these days? Do employers really have the right to fine me like that? Agree that this looks very inadequate. I understand that it’s an employer’s market now, but isn’t it too much for those who are just starting out?» he noted.
«This job is not for you if…»
HRG Adelina Gatsenko published a confusing job posting. Among the sarcastic remarks, the employer jokingly asks candidates to send nudes.
Moreover, among the requirements for the position is the functionality of not one specialist, but several at once. «I am attaching for you the „suggestions and responsibilities“. Uhhhh, how I love it when HR is „just a little bit“ for some employers,» wrote Adelina.
«Want to work on weekends? And for free!»
Roman Dumansky, UX/UI Designer, posted a job offer, describing it as follows: «Want to work on weekends? And for free! Feel free to come to us!».
«Today I received an offer with a fairly small test volume. Honestly, it looks like a scam. They offer to complete it over the weekend, absolutely free of charge, and at the end give you full access to the file! Once I would have taken on something like this, „June is in a market with fierce competition, you need to show yourself, grab the smallest opportunities and all that,“ but not now! Why, if only because I value my time and effort and don’t want the company to use other people’s solutions for its own purposes! There’s no point in describing it further, I’ll attach slides where everything is clear,» the specialist wrote. The deadline for completing the task is Monday. The designer received the task itself on Friday.
A name is for weaklings
Ruslan Tretyak, Senior Unity Developer, published an email in which a recruiter who contacted the developer forgot to include his name. «Do you care that the job offer is personalized, or is the job offer the most important thing?» he asked.
