As the company’s managing director Oleksandr Berezhny told dev.ua, the Ukrainian unit has now reached production capacity of 80 Vector UAVs. «But we also have the ability to additionally produce new models of aircraft that are either adapted for further use on the Ukrainian battlefield, such as the Twister UAV. And also to produce the required number of aircraft that are under development, such as the Sparta UAV,» he said.
According to Berezhny, the Vector UAV production facilities are used to produce replacement parts for the UAV fleet provided by Germany and the United States, as well as for direct purchases from security and defense forces.
«The company’s operations, due to security considerations, are being expanded to different regions of Ukraine,» Oleksandr detailed.
Currently, the Ukrainian team of Quantum Systems is about 200 people, and the company continues to actively hire. «These include production staff, R&D engineers and software developers,» said Berezhny.
In addition, the company is actively working on finding Ukrainian replacement components for the UAVs it creates.
As a reminder, in May it became known that Quantum Systems localized the production of all parts for the Vector UAV fuselage in Ukraine. Previously, these drones were only assembled from ready-made parts at local facilities.
In June, the company’s engineers began building the recently introduced Twister reconnaissance drones at their facilities in Ukraine.
The company also transferred to Ukraine a new model of the Vector AI drone with artificial intelligence and the Polish WASP acoustic system, capable of recording enemy artillery shots at a distance of up to 15 km.
