Rakuten Viber is launching a marketplace right in the app. In the Marketplace tab on the mobile version of Viber, users will be able to find and connect with local businesses: beauty salons, medical services, restaurants, shops and many other services and businesses in their area.
Rakuten Viber is launching a marketplace right in the app. In the Marketplace tab on the mobile version of Viber, users will be able to find and connect with local businesses: beauty salons, medical services, restaurants, shops and many other services and businesses in their area.
The Marketplace will replace the Useful tab in the mobile app. Users will be able to search for local businesses by name, category, or by browsing recommended deals. The Marketplace will allow users to view company profiles, product or service catalogs, and communicate with business representatives without revealing their phone number.
According to the company, the vast majority of Ukrainians already communicate with businesses on Viber. With the launch of the marketplace, finding the right information and choosing the best will become even easier.
By opening the Marketplace tab, users will be able to share their location to see nearby businesses. If a person does not want to share their location, a selection of businesses will be displayed based on general location information.
Results are automatically updated as users move around Ukraine. Marketplace highlights the most relevant and active companies, making it easier to find local deals.
The service will gradually become available to all users over the coming weeks on the mobile version of Viber, via a button at the bottom of the screen. New businesses will be able to join the marketplace through free business profiles on Viber. The marketplace will feature new features and tools for businesses to help them be better represented or visible.
