UPD. Ex-CMO of monobank together with his wife launch AI-application for check-ups: the idea grew from a queue of 10,000 patients, the target audience is IT professionals
Co-founder of jejebank in Nigeria and ex-CMO of monobank Anatoliy Rogalsky spoke about a new startup: the team has been developing an AI application for regular health checkups for seven months.
Co-founder of jejebank in Nigeria and ex-CMO of monobank Anatoliy Rogalsky spoke about a new startup: the team has been developing an AI application for regular health checkups for seven months.
The idea, he says, came not from the market or trends, but from a very personal story. Rogalsky’s wife is an endocrinologist, and at one point her waiting list exceeded 10,000 people. And these were not complex clinical cases, but mostly patients who needed a systematic check-up and a better understanding of their own health.
«It’s her approach that matters to them,» he explains. And that was the starting point: if the demand is so great, then the problem can be scaled technologically.
The team immediately defined a framework: they are not trying to replace a doctor. On the contrary, if a user really needs a specialist consultation, the application will directly say so. But for a large number of people who need regular monitoring and basic analytics, it is possible to create a clear and systematic tool.
In fact, it is an attempt to «digitize» the logic of a good therapist. AI is taught to analyze user data and form recommendations not as an abstract algorithm, but as a doctor who sees the picture in dynamics.
«Our task is not only to help notice the problem in time, but also to generally work on prevention and improving the quality of life,» says Rogalsky.
According to him, the first results already show that the product is needed by a much wider audience than the developers initially expected. And the further the team moves, the more convinced they are that this can be not just another health-tech application, but a tool that really changes the approach to one’s own health.
The project is currently in active development, and the team is open to feedback from potential users.
UPD. In an interview with Forbes, Rogalsky added that the businessman’s wife, Yevgenia, is responsible for the medical aspects, and I am responsible for the team, marketing, and launch. «The focus is preventive medicine. The client fills out a questionnaire on the platform, undergoes the necessary tests as directed by a therapist, and then receives a transcript of the results and a referral to the right doctor. I can’t find similar projects in Ukraine, so we are on the right track,» Anatoliy noted.
After launch, the couple plans to test hypotheses and prepare to provide medical reports. «This is a long-term plan,» he says.
The business model of this startup is subscription. «There are examples of subscriptions that cost $365 per year, that is, taking care of yourself for a dollar a day. But there is a problem of monetization, because the check-up cycle together with the correction of the condition takes 3-4 months. Therefore, we have to figure out how to make a monthly subscription. Within two months, we will launch friends and family testing and collect the first pre-orders,» announced Rogalsky.
The first target audience of the product is Evgenia’s clients and subscribers. The second is IT specialists who do not want to waste time making doctor’s appointments, and for whom check-up will be a convenient solution to simplify the treatment process.
As a reminder, in January, Rogalsky announced that he had become a co-founder of the Nigerian fintech startup jejebank.
«I work with those I enjoy spending time with.» Monobank co-founder Rogalsky spoke about 70% of rejections during a personal interview for a position at the company
