«Don’t be an idiot. Scolding your subordinates for using AI is like yelling at a person with a flashlight because you’re used to sitting in the dark,» Bondar wrote on his social media.
According to him, artificial intelligence is «a productivity booster and part of the new reality.»
«Instead of punishments, it’s better to teach your subordinates how to design prompts, configure language models, work with APIs, privacy rules, and usage ethics,» advises Roman Bondar.
He believes that in the future, the best positions will not be held by the «smartest», but by those who «adapted in time.»
Earlier, three Amazon engineers said that over the past year, managers have increasingly pushed them to use AI in their work. They noted that the company has increased its target performance and become less lenient with deadlines.
It even encouraged them to develop new tools to improve AI performance at an upcoming hackathon, an internal coding competition. One Amazon engineer said his team is about half the size of last year, but is expected to produce about the same amount of code with AI.
